Yasmin is currently developing IN NO SENSE a new play for Theatre Royal Stratford East about Asian women who’ve been incarcerated in the UK, and is also under commission to M6 Theatre Company.

Film

Yasmin also started work recently on a  short film story inspired by Helena Kennedy’s book “Just Law” (published 4 March 2004) and transformed into a fictional piece by the acclaimed playwright Yasmin Whittaker-Khan. The production target is a short film approximately 5-10 minutes in duration dealing with dark and potentially shocking themes set in present day East London.

The main challenge for innovative and highly praised Director Poonam Brah is to give this short piece a plausible psychological motivation, so that the climax of the story retains its impact while at the same time remaining believable.
